A nervous & shy Lindsey Horan, early in her professional soccer career, was called up to the United States Women’s National Team to play in the 2013 Algarve Cup in Portugal, an invitational tournament for national teams in women’s association football hosted by the Portuguese Football Federation. Still unsure whether she belonged, an empowering message from a teammate gave her all the courage she needed. 📝🙌💪
